Author Joseph Albert Gorski wrote a fascinating book, not just because he talks about elections from a different perspective, but also because he incorporates past historical events which some readers may not have been aware of. Joseph Albert Gorski’s knowledge of the American history, political landscape, the economy and study of the masses is incredible. You get to learn about the free world and how things are run just by reading this very short but comprehensive book. I liked how deliberate the author is with the topics discussed, as every topic touches on the lives of Americans and the impact the event being discussed had on him – or the larger American population.
Before reading the book, one may think that the author would only talk about the 2012 elections, but now so – he talks about more. General elections are an important event for many democracies across the world. The 2012 election was one of the most attention-grabbing elections in the recent past, and the author explains why. What I loved about this book is how the author gives a background of candidates, political parties and other decisions made by stakeholders in elections before discussing in depth any election. Reading this book will open your eyes about things, not just the political landscape in America.
I enjoyed it when the author shared his opinions on policies and issues the common American is faced with. Through his eyes, one can tell that despite America being one of the largest democracies in the world, the country still goes through a fair share of challenges. The discussions on political parties and how they operate are very intellectually absorbing, as getting to read about Democrats, Republicans and others was refreshing as one could get the real picture of the parties from a neutral ground. Is there a possibility of a third party? Are voters always satisfied with the political climate pre-and-post elections? Joseph Albert Gorski answers these and many more questions of this nature in his book.
Readers will enjoy this book mainly because the author’s writing is soundly based on facts. Joseph Albert Gorski does not make up stories nor does he cook figures when writing. His content is purely based on confirmed statistics, historical truths and facts. I would encourage every aspiring politician, governance enthusiasts and leader in whatever capacity they are, to get a hold of this book. The knowledge in the book is not to be dismissed. The topic selection by Joseph Albert Gorski will tell you just how far America has come as a nation.
I appreciate the author for the hours he put into research and for compiling a book that has valuable content. 2012: the Rise of a Third Party in the US is not just for lovers of politics, but for every citizen that votes and helps their community in one way or the other. The author does not use heavy jargon. Texts in the book are easy to read and comprehend. Sentence structure and arrangement of chapters was another commendable aspect about this book.
