Hollywood Book Reviews

One thing every reader will like about V is for Vivian is how engaging the author is. Lawrence Burk’s style of writing is friendly and encouraging as he narrates the plot like he is giving a story in real-time, getting the readers’ full attention. Lawrence Burk is not just an excellent narrator; he is imaginative too. The scenes in the book are interesting and show how much of a creative genius he is. Readers can have a mental picture of everything happening as V is for Vivian is an amazing thriller, which will have all who appreciate fiction and literature in general extremely satisfied.

V is for Vivian has both heroes and villains. I enjoyed the heroes in the book yet also admired how the villains were portrayed. The heroes were strong, resilient, used power, and were sharp. The villains were opportunistic, engaged in questionable activities but the author made the reader understand why some of them had such traits. The in- between characters were charmingly created too. Character development in this book deserves a special mention as no single character in the book was dull nor impractical. The author made even the minor characters appealing. Reading the book, I got to understand why Lawrence Burk made Vivian Bouvier the main character. There is no female character in the book which was amazingly developed like Vivian. I was interested in following this character from the introduction, and appreciated the author for the way he gives readers a background of who this Vivian character is.

When describing characters, Lawrence Burk puts in every minute detail which he can think of. His style helps readers form an opinion of the characters from the onset. We follow the story of Vivian as she destroys anyone who does not align with her beliefs. Vivian is a special character, she has battled pain and agony in the past and she confronts her trauma, and uses her strength and power to make things right. I enjoyed that Vivian did not just look out for herself, but also for other parties she thought were vulnerable. The story in V is for Vivian is about a brave soul who avenges the victims of torture and exploitation. Kate is another character that I found to be fascinating in the book, as I could see how social Kate was and how easily one would befriend her.

Randall was another greatly developed character and another favorite in the book.  V is For Vivian is a thrilling book that puts readers on edge. The conversations among characters appear real and the storyline keeps on getting better. Lawrence Burk is one of the finest thriller writers, as every chapter in the book shows a new and different element in his writing. The characters are distinct and do not overshadow each other even when working on a similar goal.

I enjoyed reading the book and wished that the author had created 2 other characters who were built like Vivian. This is a book that you read more than once because of how exciting the plot is. I recommend V is for Vivian to readers that enjoy short breathtaking, stimulating and entertaining books.
