World War II has just ended and Greg Varricci longs to find employment among the dock workers of San Francisco. While in a bar one night, after many drinks and winning an arm-wrestling fight, Greg is hired as a guide for an exploration team, by one Nathanial Hawthorne.  The team heads out to the mysterious remote island of Isla Lar, located in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of South America.  While on this journey, Varricci witnesses the birth of something truly psychopathic.  Twenty years later he is still trying to find and destroy this creature.  He comes close when the gruesome murder of a young woman is used a message to him.  Together with the woman’s fiancé, Varricci works to bring an end to the creature’s tyranny.  If they can’t, they could become just two more bodies in a long line of the creature’s corpses.

Seeds of Evil is a very well written thriller/suspense novel.  It opens up immediately on an action scene, luring readers into the tale.  You cannot help but wonder what will happen to Joanie, Brent and Greg next, quickly turning the page to get to the next part. There are moments of humor, sometimes it makes you feel bad for giggling like during a murder.  Seeing Greg, Brent and the creature first in the Prologue and Prelude makes readers want to know their backstory.  What is the creature, what does it want?  Who is Greg and how does he come to be hunting this creature?  All of these questions and more get answered as you progress through the book.

There is a lot of information provided throughout the story, but it doesn’t feel bogged down with it. It all flows perfectly together and provides insight to everything happening throughout the novel.   Everything author B. C. White puts into his vision enhances the reading experience.  There is not a moment that the reader will get bored.  The dialogue and character interactions all feel natural and not forced or unrealistic.  The descriptions make it easy for readers to see the story presented before us.  B. C. White does a wonderful job at bringing their vision to life.

If you are someone who enjoys thrillers, suspense, science fiction, and maybe a little paranormal/fantasy, then Seeds of Evil is definitely a book for you.  If provides everything a reader needs to feel satisfied when finishing the novel.  For a rating, I would give this novel a STAR because it holds the readers attention, it is filled with adventure, and it comes to a satisfying conclusion.  It is a great novel, well done B. C. White.
