Bee and Fairy Power is an enchanting tale that follows Isabella, a young fairy, and Donya, a boy Nature Being living in Fairy-Joy Land, in their new adventure to Earth. The Bee Nation on Earth is suffering greatly. Many bees are dying from pollen poisoned with chemicals and the genetic code of the plants has been modified so that they no longer are nourishing to All Life. If the plants are not pollinated, there will be few plants to grow and feed the animals and the humans.
When Ben, one of the bees, appears metaphysically in Isabella and Donna’s thoughts asking for their help, they waste no time flying to Earth to go save their bee friends. Will they get there on time to save the bees and humankind from destruction by some greedy and nefarious people looking to profit from it? Authors Nisa Montie and Frank Scott have written a magical tale worth turning its pages.
Fanciful and operatic, this book explores what and who fairies may be, which are sure to intrigue everyone who wants to familiarize themselves with these folklore beings, while weaving a tale that captures and enraptures. This book does a great job of combining the fantastical and real worlds. The written illustrations crackle with color and life, and the focus on a single feature at a time promotes a kind of typology of the flora and fauna, lending them a dash of realism and diligence.
The writers create an epic atmosphere through the creative naming of objects and places, for example Loving Swords, Blue Unicorn, and Good Fellow Garden – among others. Here, are themes such as generosity, harmony, assistance, compassion, family, and friendship. The two main protagonists, Isabella and Donya, are fearless and bold in their new undertaking, and children will aspire to emulate them in real-life situations.
Overall, Bee and Fairy Power by Nisa Montie and Frank Scott is a richly satisfying adventure that is enjoyable to read both independently and aloud. It is an ideal story to bond with your child through family-story-times along with strengthening their love for reading.
