HBR: Tell us the inspiration for writing Looking Out from the Inside?
I wanted to share with the world no matter what, even in a hopeless situation there is hope. I wanted to show them that anyone can become that change agent for the World.
HBR: What is the key theme and message in the book? There is a positive in every negative situation, You have the authority to affirm the situation & create the environment you desire.
HBR: What do you hope your readers take away from this book? That they have the power within to overcome and create the outcome they desire when they look in the mirror and decide to change direction and work on themselves.
HBR: What is the significance of the title? We can overcome inner struggles, disappointments, failures, negative paradigms. We first need to examine ourselves from within.
HBR: Tell us about the process for coming up with the cover. There is a faint rainbow- Representing Gods Promise, there is a Ray of sunlight- Representing a Higher Authority-Spirit. The never-ending ocean is representing eternal, the water washing up is the Word of God that cleanses & guides us, and the sand- representing mortal man made from the dust of the ground. There is a real picture of me in my real prison clothes on the sand that made it on the sand at peace.
HBR: What were the key challenges you faced when writing Looking Out from the Inside? Having to relive the inner struggles that I had to overcome and share it with complete brutal honesty.
HBR: Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about? I am a transformational speaker; I speak and tell my story to transform lives. I am a life coach, and I have online courses that I am working on to help others to dispel limiting beliefs and change their life from Chaos to Freedom and Happiness. I am working on another book to be published next year. I am a change agent to help do my part in the world.
HBR: Where do you draw inspiration from? I draw inspiration from reading the bible, staying around positive people, seeing others’ lives changed from my story.
