The sevenfold joy for God’s grace is explored through a seven-day calendar which contains within it seven-fold blessings which touch our lives. This can be summarized with two key elements: God’s light, and His love. These are at the core of understanding the calendar as it connects us today to God’s gift for us to remedy sin for all. This clarity can be achieved by striving to find the treasures provided through earthly and eternal lessons that benefit all our lives. The book aims to share these real experiences that occurred as a priest and missionary with lessons which encourage us to think deeper about our blessings, understand the promise of restoration, and examine why Satan is a thief whose being is to destroy. To do so, the book uses Biblical support throughout highlighting these facts and analyzes the concepts related to the sevenfold treasures in the structure of a devotional.
The introduction eases you into the concepts by explaining what you can expect and encouraging you right from the beginning to open your mind to think deeper about God’s role in the world. This is kept in the back of your mind as you proceed forward. The book draws evidence from a blend of the Bible, a reverberation that occurred in Africa, and the domino effect this created throughout the world. Though having occurred in 2006-07, this resonance inspired a Divine stirring which can still be felt even to this day which becomes evident by the time you reach the last chapter. By incorporating this pivotal experience, it shows how everything is connected to God’s work which successfully highlights the primary goal of the book. The writing strikes the ideal balance for a devotional with Biblical facets and spiritual experiences used to analyze three key periods: New Creation; the Era of Christ the King; and the New Pentecost.
The book is written from a first-person perspective which gives you authentic insights which ground the writing with real emotion, struggles, and circumstances. The situations recounted in the book provide support for the themes highlighted, specifically about living with fear and trusting in the Lord, both of which are seen in moments such as going into a terrorist area stronghold. This trust is seen repeatedly as author Rev. Fr. Ignatius Mary Okoroji follows the path God has set forth to become a priest and then a missionary. This is a rich example you can look at when examining the fear in your own life and how you can trust in God in these moments. The overall message of the book is to serve as a guide for spotting how God has been putting everything into motion for His grand plan. For this reason, the book is an ideal resource for personal reflection, and Sunday study, and the perfect fodder for Bible discussions.
Other themes presented focus on realities which everyone can relate to and showcase how God can make His journey a universal one by spreading His word. A way that Okoroji does this is by examining the era of peace that is promised to be given and backing each argument with Bible verses. These themes are furthered by touching upon the sufferings encountered, prayer, and faith with each supporting Okoroji’s message of spreading God’s word. The verses chosen are poignant and pair well with the stories given which deepens the significance of the message provided by specifically highlighting His gifts and how His word creates an abundant life. The book makes for an ideal discussion and can be used as you face struggles and hardships, as a spiritual guidance to think about what’s happening in the world. God’s Foot is on the World is an ideal resource for personal study, inspiration, Sunday school discussion, and spiritual education.
