Author Simone Voltaire’s Sarcaun: The Journey is a sci-fi tale blended with elements of fantasy, which will take you on a trip to a world of gifted beings in the sphere of Sarcaun.
The time has come to select another Gen to send on a journey to Earth, and Queen Xriane has settled on Norellyia, her daughter. According to her, it is time for the young princess to know who she truly is inside by understanding her people’s history and by experiencing a part of it for herself. This, she has faith will make the young princess a better person, and a great future queen. However, the queen’s aid Nore is quick to bring to her attention that no one from the royal house has ever been to Earth since the founding of Sarcaun, and therefore sending her daughter Norellyia, may not be a very good idea.
A few days later, Norellyia wakes up to find herself lying on the side of a road with rain heavily pouring down on her. Looking around, she realizes nothing is around her for miles – but as she begins to regain consciousness, it shockingly dawns on her she is on Earth. However, little does she know that immediately after her departure from Sarcaun, her mother started having nightmares of the planet being torn apart until there was nothing left of it. Sadly, Xriane has also been dreaming she was holding her breathless daughter in her arms which leads readers to the question – should she have listened to her aid’s warning?
This text features the classic elements of a science fiction novel like time travel, parallel universes and fictional worlds, with a main character who remains hilarious, heroic and admirable – even when placed in frightening roles. Her mother is an outstanding character who positively characterizes the inspiring, compassionate and loving nature of a parent who can risk it all for the welfare of her child’s future.
Simone Voltaire’s Sarcaun: The Journey is like a pressure relief valve which relieves your mind of the stresses of the modern world. Its death-defying action sequences and epic energy offers everything a sci-fi fan could ask for. This text is full of palpable, if not entirely seamless, thrills. Highly endorsed!
