If you have been on the lookout for a nail-biting sci-fi thriller, look no further. SOS by author Terol (T-Max) McCullar puts together your far-fetched scientific, alien-world imaginations as a magnificent story in a realistically intriguing manner. A sequel to S.I.C.Q. which came out in 2023, the book focuses on the scientific community’s efforts to uphold humanity’s relationship with aliens. The SOS story starts from where the S.I.C.Q. story concludes with the alien, ADAM’s message to humanity.
Seger8 and Anti-ADAM factions are bent on stopping humanity’s contact with aliens. Well, the endeavor wouldn’t prove to be so easy as Tsirch and Richard (the main characters) have joined hands with secret service, FBI, and Domestic Security Command in order to fight off any potentially fatal attack by the villains.
The book delves deeper into ADAM’s disposition and his take on his species’ spot in the universe. ADAM also shares his views on earthly features in a manner which brings to light the flaws of our world. The sci-fi tale also explores the possible effects human-alien collaboration can have on humanity and its development. A number of new characters are introduced in the book, and thanks to that, readers get an insight into a wide variety of perspectives on the aliens.
McCullar creates an engaging setting that’s hard to get out of. The manner the author has crafted sentences and stitched the paragraphs together truly accentuates the agenda in question. The character development which you witness throughout the story is magnificent as you get a glimpse into their complex connection with love, ambitions, and responsibilities.
What’s more, the characters, both new and old, offer depth and provide the story with distinct flavors typical of a sci-fi masterpiece. One of the most interesting things about SOS is at no point does the story seem stagnant; the flow of events is simply wonderful, and it keeps you hooked from the beginning ‘till the end.
You don’t have to be a science or technology enthusiast to be able to enjoy this book since it’s not merely a scientific story. In fact, it’s an intelligent commentary on the complex nature of humanity featuring tremendous alien elements. So, all those who are big on sci-fi action drama will in all probability enjoy reading this one. However, you must read through S.I.C.Q first before jumping into this one to make sure you know the backstory. All in all, SOS is a must-read.
