The year is 2052, Comet Providence has passed and the survivors are forming a new life in the Mississippi delta. Humans have been genetically altered with alien DNA to create new alien-human hybrids with superior intelligence, physicality, and new instincts and abilities. Those hybrids were the only survivors of the comet’s passing. Tricentennial picks up 150 years after the settling of New Providence, on the cusp of a 300 year cycle. A cycle where alien ancestors transfer powers to a new generation. Hope and Angel are now leaders of the settlement and referred to as the Mothers. New Supreme Counselors must be chosen to help guide the new race into the future, meaning Gee and Soo need to choose their successors.
